NEPVA's Commitment to Spinal Cord Research

Being an organization of wheelchair users, NEPVA is an organization that strongly believes in supporting research to find a cure for spinal cord injuries and dysfunction. NEPVA supports research in two ways, nationally and locally.

Nationally, NEPVA donates a grant of approximately $20,000 each year to the Yale University Center for Neuroscience and Regeneration Research. NEPVA also makes an annual $10,000 contribution to the Paralyzed Veterans of America Spinal Cord Research Foundation (SCRF).

SCRF is working hard on cutting edge projects that will find a cure for paralysis and in the mean time help people with spinal cord injury or disease enjoy the fullest lives. Below is a partial listing of some of the areas in which SCRF funds grants for research:

Locally, NEPVA supports research, conferences, and symposiums that provide opportunities for health care providers and other professionals involved with paralysis to enrich themselves professionally.

NEPVA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as described in the Internal Revenue Code. If you care to make a donation to NEPVA, please send checks or money orders to:
