"What's It Like" program visits Wrentham Elementary School
By Roger Harris, Community Outreach Director

On February 29, Vice President Craig Cascella and I spent the day with about 200 third graders at Wrentham Elementary School in Wrentham, MA. We were there to celebrate Disability Awareness Day!

They came into the gym two classes at a time. Craig and I briefly shared our stories regarding our disabilities. Then we spent some time helping the students learn what it’s like using a wheelchair in basketball and a makeshift obstacle course. Towards the end of each session we answered questions from the students. They were very inquisitive. The day was fun and exciting for all in attendance.
